Uganda Top 100 mid-sized companies Survey (\u2018Top 100 Survey\u2019)<\/em> is an initiative of KPMG and Daily Monitor. The survey seeks to identify Uganda\u2019s fastest-growing medium sized companies to showcase business excellence and highlight some of the country\u2019s most successful entrepreneurship stories.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Top 100 Mid-sized Company\u201d (\u2018Top 100 Company\u2019) is one that ranks ahead of its peers in terms of revenue growth, profit growth, returns to shareholders and cash generation\/liquidity.  A Top 100 company has succeeded in progressively growing its market position in the industries in which it operates and over time, this growth has translated into both returns for its shareholders and a sound financial position.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

About the 2025 Survey<\/strong><\/h3>

The 2025 TOP 100 survey will have SMEs complete both the general and financial questionnaires. This is intended to understand how SMEs are coping with the business environment and therefore help policy makers to come up with informed decisions to accelerate growth. The theme for this year\u2019s survey is \u201cCreating synergies and sustainable Business models sufficient for accelerated growth\u201d<\/p>

The survey will be launched along with a forum focusing on tax on the topic; \u201cDevelopments in the tax regime; Implications to growth and Business Sustainability\u201d with the main discussants being Edgar Mukasa \u2013 Senior Manager Tax & Regulatory Services and Mark Tusiime – Manager Tax and Regulatory Services.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Objectives of the survey<\/strong><\/h3>
  1. \u00a0To create industry databases and

    \u2022 Enable medium-sized (\u2018mid-sized\u2019) companies to benchmark themselves against their peers
    \u2022 Highlight to policymakers the mid-sized companies\u2019 contribution to economic growth.<\/p><\/li>

  2. \u00a0To support mid-sized companies in their growth by linking them with key service providers. Some of
    these service providers will form relationships with the companies by sponsoring the survey and\/or
    special forums for the Top 100 companies<\/li>
  3. To address the challenges faced by SMEs in the evolving economic environment.<\/li>
  4. To facilitate networking amongst the Top 100 companies.<\/li>
  5. To create platforms for the Top 100 companies to engage individually and collectively in activities,
